August 30th, 2007 by Fr. Pius, OP

On August 15, 2007, the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, eight of our Dominican brothers completed their novitiate and took their first vows as Dominican friars. Our Prior Provincial, Very Rev. Dominic Izzo, OP, received their vows at our Priory of St. Gertrude in Cincinnati, OH.
The brothers have now arrived in Washington, DC to our Priory of the Immaculate Conception. There, the brothers will continue their formation and their theological studies in preparation for the priesthood.
Our newly professed brothers are (L - R): Br. Augustine Marie Reisenhauer, OP, Rev. Albert Trudel, OP, Br. Michael Dominic O’Connor, OP, Br. Bernard Marie Timothy, OP, Br. Justin Marie Brophy, OP, Br. Jordan Joseph Schmidt, OP, Br. Peter Totleben, OP, and Br. Matthew Carroll, OP.
