Christmas 2007 at the Dominican House
January 2nd, 2008 by Br. Pius, OP

Below is a short video montage of photos from the Christmas Mass during the Day at the Priory of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC. The celebrant for the Mass was His Excellency, Archbishop Thomas Cajetan Kelly, OP, recently retired after more than 25 years as Archbishop of Louisville, Kentucky. Archbishop Kelly’s last assignment before we was first ordained a Bishop (in 1977 when he was ordained as an Auxiliary Bishop of Washington, DC) was the Dominican House of Studies. We have been very blessed at the Dominican House by the presence of the Archbishop for the past several months as he spends his sabbatical here. The music on the photo slideshow is from the Christmas hymn “Here is the Little Door”, the text of which was written by Frances Chesterton, the wife of the renowned Catholic author and apologist Gilbert Keith Chesterton.
