In 1963, Mr. Michael Kalush filmed and wrote a televised documentary on our Dominican mission to Pakistan. The documentary was made for WJRT-12 TV in Flint, Michigan. Above is a picture of Fr. The picture above is of the Kelp Gull. Its latin scientific name is the Larus Dominicanus, which translates literally as the “Dominican Gull”. The gull was given this name because it’s black wings and white front make it look like a Dominican Friar wearing his cappa.
