On Sunday, July 12, 2009 in the chapel of the Dominican House of Studies, the newly consecrated Archbishop Joseph Augustine DiNoia, OP, offered a Mass of Thanksgiving. Recently, Frs. Pius Pietrzyk, OP, and Michael Dosch, OP, led a youth pilgrimage to the great Marian Shrine of Lourdes in France. This was a part of the 2009 U.S. Rosary Pilgrimage. One of the many impressive elements of yesterday’s ordination was the brief series of acknowledgments Archbishop DiNoia delivered at the end of Mass. His words were striking both for their focus and for the intense emotion with which he delivered them.
