It is a Dominican tradition to Chant the Litany of Loretto to the Blessed Virgin Mary on Saturdays and Marian feasts after Compline. On Sunday, July 12, 2009 in the chapel of the Dominican House of Studies, the newly consecrated Archbishop Joseph Augustine DiNoia, OP, offered a Mass of Thanksgiving.  The homily was preached by his classmate Fr. One of the many impressive elements of yesterday’s ordination was the brief series of acknowledgments Archbishop DiNoia delivered at the end of Mass.  His words were striking both for their focus and for the intense emotion with which he delivered them.
