Simple Profession Homily

On Saturday, August 15, the Solemnity of the Assumption of Mary, the province’s nine novice professed their simple vows at St. Gertrude’s Church in Cincinnati.  Fr. Brian Mulcahy, OP, the provincial socius, celebrated the Profession Mass.  Below is the text of the homily he preached.

During our recent Provincial Assembly, the friars of the Province took the time to honor the jubilarians in their midst. Fr. Luke Tancrell, OP preached a beautiful homily at Mass, where he reflected on his fifty years of priesthood.

This past Sunday the Dominican parish church of St. Thomas Aquinas celebrated the feast of Corpus Christi with a Eucharistic procession through downtown Zanesville. Fr.
